Once upon a time…
In the middle of the ocean, there was a mysterious island
village. The specialty of this village was that it was surrounded by a 100-foot
wall. Beyond the walls, lived monsters waiting to devour human flesh.
There was a king who ruled and took care of the village, and
to lie in the village, you had to follow the king’s rule. The king had 3 basic
rules:
1.
Everyone should learn & follow his
principles and ideals.
2.
No one should never go near the wall.
3.
No one should ever ask questions.
If anyone breaks any rule, they would be thrown over the
wall of the monsters to feast upon!
While the village mostly remaind free from chaos, in a
particular little boy’s mind, there was never an iota of calm. His name was
kuraloiyan…& this is his story…
Unlike the other kids of his age, kural accompanied by his
little pet dog. Was always challenging authority and questioning everything. Fed
up of his behavior, on one day, kural’s parents gave hom a warning and prohibited
him from ever doing any of these things again. Kural sat degected in the verandah,
when his dog came to him and urged him to look towards the wall. In the
distance, above the mountain, there in was: a bright, blinding light that shown
like a diamond!. The next day, when he told his father about this, he refused
to belie kural and once again, admonished him for his antics after that, kural
stopped himself from questioning things. But there was one thing that was
running in his mind: that bright light. And that’s when he made a decision. On
a cold winter night, after his parents went to sleep, armed with a rope and an
old sword lying at home, kural left his home and set for the wall. Fighting against
the freezing winds, he climbed up the seemingly endless wall. After getting on
the other side, there was an ice bridge he had to cross he had to cross to get
to the light. His worst fears had come true .. there was, the monster that has
been terrorizing his people for centuries. But even while his heart was bursting
with fear, he didn’t run…..he swallowed his fear, drew out his sword and told himself “do or die”. He closed
his eyes for one last time, took a deep breath and—but wait a minute I forget
to say a thing before. My main thing is to discuss about THE INDIAN EDUCATION
