Kumari kandam is considered the cradle of civilization, the place where everything  started.

Kumari kandam is described as  the kingdom of the earth in the andakosappadalam section of kanda Puranam

The word kumari kandam was first mentioned in a 15th century version of the Amanda Purana the target mahapurana a genre of   eighteenth hindu religious  texts was written by kachiappa siva charayara (1350-1420).



Contrary to popular belief the world "kumari kandam" derived from the accient Sanskrit word "kumari khanda".

Some author argue that one of the best
Pieces of evidence supporting the existence of the lost continent of kumari kandam is a 1.7 million year old artificial 
Bridge, located in the palm strait,in the 
Indian called mama's bridge.
